About Watermark

Reach for this when you want to mark a PDF as a draft, a confidential copy, or your own work before you share it. You type the text once and it gets stamped diagonally across the center of every page, so it carries through the whole document rather than sitting on page one alone. Set the font size, opacity, and angle, and watch the live preview update before you save. It draws the text as a layer over your existing pages, so what is already there stays intact, and the result downloads as a PDF.

Questions

Frequently asked

What can I change about the watermark?
You can set the watermark text, its font size, its opacity, and its angle. A live preview shows how those choices look on the page before you save, so you can adjust the lettering until it reads the way you want.
Does it watermark every page or just the first one?
It stamps the diagonal text across every page in the document. There is no per-page selection, so the same watermark appears on the first page and the last page alike.
Will the watermark cover up or remove my existing content?
No. The text is drawn as a layer on top of your existing pages, so nothing underneath is replaced or flattened. Lowering the opacity lets the original content show through clearly beneath the lettering.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The watermark is applied right here in your browser, and your file never leaves your device. You can confirm there is no upload by opening your browser's Network tab while the tool runs.
