Overview

About Sign

Reach for Sign when you need to put your signature on a PDF without printing, signing, and scanning it back. Draw your signature once, then position and scale it onto the page where it belongs. It is an electronic mark — a drawn image placed on the document — not a cryptographic signature backed by a certificate, so it adds no tamper-evidence or identity proof. The whole process happens in your browser, and any signatures you save stay in this browser's local storage and are never sent anywhere. The result is a standard PDF.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is this a legally binding or cryptographic signature?
No. This places an electronic mark — a drawn image — onto the page, which is not a cryptographic or digital signature with a certificate. It carries no tamper-evidence or identity proof, so whether it satisfies a given legal requirement is up to the recipient and your jurisdiction.
Can I move and resize the signature after I draw it?
Yes. You draw the signature, then position it and scale its width on the page before placing it. Height follows the signature's aspect ratio automatically.
Where are my saved signatures stored?
Saved signatures live only in this browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your device and are never uploaded. They stay available for reuse on this browser but are not synced anywhere, so clearing your browser data removes them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read into memory and signed entirely in your browser, on your device, with no upload. Open your browser's Network tab while you work and you will see no file leaving your device.
