Why do I get a ZIP instead of one image?
Because a PDF has many pages and each one becomes its own PNG, the tool packs them all into a single ZIP so you download once instead of clicking through every page. Unzip it and you'll have one numbered PNG per page.
What does the resolution scale do?
The resolution scale sets how many pixels each page is rendered at, so a higher scale gives sharper, larger images and a lower scale gives smaller files. Turn it up for print or fine detail and down when you just need a quick preview.
Why is PNG better here than JPG?
PNG is lossless, so each pixel is stored exactly with no compression blur around text or sharp edges. That makes it the better pick for screenshots, diagrams, and line art, though the files are larger than the equivalent JPG.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is rendered to PNG entirely in your browser, on your own device, and nothing is sent to a server. You can confirm it yourself by opening your browser's Network tab and watching that no upload happens.
