It draws every page with pdf.js, the same renderer your browser uses to display PDFs, then encodes each one as a JPG. You set the resolution scale, so you can trade file size for sharpness, and the JPG quality, which controls compression. Since JPG is a pixel format, any text in the result is part of the image and is no longer selectable or searchable. Everything renders right here, so the PDF never leaves your device.

Why do I get a ZIP instead of separate images?
A multi-page PDF becomes one JPG per page, so the pages are bundled into a single ZIP to keep the download tidy. Unzip it and you'll find the images in page order. A one-page PDF still comes back this way.
What do the resolution scale and JPG quality options do?
Resolution scale sets how large each page is rendered before it becomes a JPG, so a higher scale gives a sharper, bigger image. JPG quality controls compression: higher quality means a clearer image and a larger file. Pick a low scale and lower quality for small previews, or raise both for print-grade pages.
Will the text in the JPGs still be selectable?
No. JPG is a pixel image, so any text on the page is baked into the picture and can't be selected, copied, or searched. If you need selectable text, keep the original PDF or use a PDF-to-text tool instead.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, and your PDF never leaves your device. Open the Network tab before you start and you'll see no file-upload request.
