No. This preserves the text, not the original layout, so columns, tables, spacing, and graphics will not be recreated. You get the words in a simple Word document you can reformat yourself.
Why did I get an empty or near-empty document?
That usually means your PDF is a scan or image with no selectable text underneath. This tool only extracts text that already exists, so run OCR on the file first, then convert it.
What file format does it produce?
