Overview

About Extract to PowerPoint

Reach for this when you want a head start on a slide deck instead of retyping a PDF by hand. It pulls the selectable text out of your PDF and drops it into a plain .pptx, one slide per page, so you can rework the wording in PowerPoint or your slide editor of choice. It does not rebuild the original layout, fonts, columns, or images, so think of it as raw text to arrange rather than a finished presentation. If your PDF is scanned with no selectable text, there is nothing to pull and the slides will come out empty. The whole conversion happens in your browser.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does it recreate my PDF's original slide layout and design?
No. It extracts the selectable text into a simple deck, one slide per page, and does not reproduce the original layout, fonts, columns, or graphics. You get the words to rearrange, not a styled copy of the original.
How are pages turned into slides?
Each page of your PDF becomes one slide, in order. The text from that page lands on its slide as plain text for you to format afterward.
What happens if my PDF is scanned with no selectable text?
You will get a deck with no usable text, because a scanned PDF is just page images with nothing to extract. Run it through an OCR step first if you need the text recognized.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and your file never leaves your device. Open the Network tab and watch as you convert — you will see no file-upload request.
