About Flatten
Flatten bakes filled form fields and annotations into the page itself, so the values become fixed part of the content instead of editable widgets. Reach for it once a form is filled and you want to send a final copy that nobody can change and that renders the same in every viewer, including ones that handle interactive fields poorly. It works on the file you add and gives you back a PDF. After flattening, the fields are no longer editable, so keep your original if you might need to revise the answers later.

Can the form still be edited after flattening?
No. Flattening converts the fields and annotations into static page content, so the values can no longer be typed into or changed. Keep a copy of the original if you may need to edit it again.
Why would I flatten a form before sharing it?
Flattening locks in the answers and makes the page render identically across viewers. Some readers display interactive fields inconsistently or let recipients alter them, and baking the values in avoids both problems.
What does it do to annotations and comments?
Annotations are merged into the page along with the form fields, becoming part of the static content. They will show up the same everywhere but can no longer be moved, edited, or removed as separate objects.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Flatten runs entirely in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. Open the Network tab while you run it and you will see no file-upload request.
